Dealer Comments
The 2027 Hyundai Kona SEL Sport stands out as a tech-forward SUV, equipped with a prominent infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. Its AM/FM/SiriusXM/HD Audio System and a six-speaker audio setup ensure a connected, immersive in-cabin experience.
Tech-focused drivers who value staying connected on the road will find this SUV tailored to their needs. The Kona SEL Sport’s built-in smartphone integration makes it ideal for those who frequently use navigation, streaming, or hands-free calling during commutes or road trips. In regions like Lakeland, FL, where daily driving and changing weather are common, features such as automatic temperature control, heated front seats, and remote keyless entry offer both comfort and practicality. The vehicle’s dual-zone climate controls and illuminated entry further highlight its appeal to users who prioritize convenience and seamless digital access in their vehicles.
Performance in the Kona SEL Sport is enhanced by its 2.0L I4 DOHC 16V engine paired with a CVT, delivering smooth, responsive acceleration. The electronic stability control system and speed-sensing steering work in tandem, providing composed handling and confidence in varied driving conditions. The integration of technology through the drive system ensures that the SUV responds intelligently to driver inputs, with features like brake assist and traction control actively supporting safe, efficient driving. Its fuel economy, rated at 28 city and 35 highway MPG, further underscores the blend of advanced engineering and everyday practicality.
Safety in this SUV is underpinned by a suite of smart electronic systems. The exterior parking camera rear, electronic stability control, and ABS brakes all rely on sensors to monitor surroundings and respond proactively. Automatic high-beam headlights and dual front impact airbags demonstrate Hyundai’s commitment to occupant protection. Features like a low tire pressure warning system and emergency communication capabilities (noted as 'None' in this model) ensure that drivers are kept informed and secure. These technologies work together to anticipate and mitigate potential risks, delivering peace of mind for families and tech enthusiasts alike.
The Kona SEL Sport is generously equipped, boasting heated front bucket seats, a leather steering wheel, fully automatic headlights, and a dual-zone air conditioning system. The infotainment system not only supports SiriusXM and HD radio but also enables app-based integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing users to control media, navigation, and communication via touchscreen or steering wheel controls.
When comparing the Kona SEL Sport to competitors such as the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross, its technology package stands out. While rivals offer basic smartphone integration, Hyundai’s implementation is notably intuitive, with an emphasis on user experience and seamless connectivity.
Does this SUV have wireless CarPlay or Android Auto? The system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, though it requires a wired connection for full functionality. What driver assistance technology is included? Key features like electronic stability control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear parking camera are standard.
